The Muse

As elusive as she is inspiring, the Muse of classical antiquity appears here in a bold new form. Created by London-based artist Soozy Lipsey, this design reimagines ancient Greek sculptural imagery to depict the goddess of poetic inspiration – with photographic elements manipulated by bright contemporary brushstrokes, finished with graphic spray paint marks. The Muse is part of the Classical story of our Autumn/Winter 2023 collection – offering a celebration of the arts and crafts found from antiquity to neoclassicism, inspired by stories of Greek and Roman myth and interpreted through a vibrant contemporary lens.
